About Buoyancy
Buoyancy is the upward force exerted by a fluid that opposes the weight of an immersed object. According to Archimedes' principle, the buoyant force is equal to the weight of the fluid displaced by the object. An object will float if its density is less than the density of the fluid it's placed in.
The formula for buoyant force is: Fb = ρfluid × V × g, where ρfluid is the density of the fluid, V is the volume of the object, and g is the acceleration due to gravity (9.81 m/s²).
